Chambers Bay
With the weather warming up, it’s time for North-Westerners to get out and take advantage of all that our beautiful State has to offer. Chambers Bay in University Place has become something of a staple and offers something for everyone.
The Chambers Bay golf course gained significant publicity in 2015 when it hosted the US Open. It goes without saying that the course is on the more difficult side. But hey, there is always the fact you can say you’ve played the same course as some of the greatest in the sport.
If golf isn’t your thing, there’s the Chambers Bay Loop that surrounds the parameter of the golf course. This 3.25 mile paved loop is a favorite among the locals, and provides killer views especially around sunset. There is even an outlook you can walk out over the water. If you’re with your significant other, make sure you leave a pad lock on the bridge inspired by the Paris love locks.
Calling all dog lovers! In addition to the Chambers Bay Loop, there is even an off leash dog park for your furry friends. So bring the tennis balls and let ’em fly!
On the upper North section of the Loop there is a massive play structure for kids to swing and climb on!
Or if you’re not feeling active but still want to take advantage of the view, check out the Chambers Bay Grill. The new chef does not disappoint. They also host events if you’re looking for a location to host your next function.
